Shattered Glass And Diamonds Inspired Nails

Hi everyone!! So if you haven't heard about this glass nail trend going on, then what have you been doing with your life? Haha jk. But seriously everyone has been loving this new nail art trend. It  reminds me of Cinderella's glass slippers in the new movie!

The mastermind of the nail art look is Eun Kyung Park. She uses cellophane to create the look, but I decided to use hoolahoop tape. The hoolahoop tape was not my original idea. I heard that a nail artist on Instagram came up with the idea with using hoolahoop tape, but I can't remember her name. If I find more info I will update this post. But at the same time I'm sure people out there have had that great minds think a like moment with the hoolahoop tape, so  other people could have come up with the idea at the same time.

When I first started researching this trend I decided to ask other nail artists on Instagram how they created the look. I asked which colors of tape they used and where they bought it from. Sadly I found that the majority of these people were rude and did not want to say what they used exactly. I don't understand why people are so selfish with helping other people out. With some of the responses I got they just told me some of the websites they bought the tape from, but not the colors. They obviously didn't want me to know. I will never be like these people and I will always try my best to tell people about the products I used to achieve my nail looks. People are so arrogant these days and it's really sad!

Like I said in my video, this nail look would probably work better
with gel and acrylic. Normal nail polish just isn't strong enough to make the hoolahoop tape or even the cellophane stay on, even though the tape is already sticky. My nails lasted a bit, but they eventually started to peel off. Maybe adding nail glue could help them stay, but you would have to be careful with where you place the pieces.

Supplies:
Hoolahoop tape colors: pearl, pink sky, and blue sky
